Here we go again. Wigmore CC Hollingbourne Hill Climb 2026. Huffing and puffing my way to the top as usual. One year I will beat the 5 minute mark. 5 mins 31 secs this year, which is not my best and not my worst.

#ProudOfYouSteve - they may not all be enormous but this is definitely Steve`s biggest crop so far. Not sure the weather this summer has suited him as he looks a bit spindly and bare but it`s certainly boosted his production line!
#SouthWestCoastPath last catchup post of our last leg of the holiday from Lands End to Lamorna (about 3 miles shy of Penzance).
We`re almost half way now. This was really hard work - I guess accumulated fatigue played a part but we were on our last legs well before we arrived back at the van.
Think we might take a break from the SWCP for a while and explore some other adventures before coming back for the finsl push towards Poole.
#SouthwestCoastPath - catching up with posting. St Just to Lands End. Another long hot and hard but exhilarating day.
Had to have a dip in the sea twice at 2 separate beaches to cool down!
We "experienced" the eclipse at Sennon Cove but we`re woefully unprepared - forgot it was happening until we arrived on the beach and everyone was wearing strange sunglasses or had a colander on their head!!
Arriving at Lands End to lots of tourists even at 9pm (yes, we were very late) shouting and playing music was bit disappointing but not totally unexpected. Probably worse because of the eclipse.
#SouthWestCoastPath Zennor to St Just. Another epic day. Even hotter today and got a bit dehydrated. Swim in the sea at beautiful Portheras was cold but revitalising. Stark journey through derelict mines on the way into St Just makes you think what hard lives these people lead - especially in the arsenic mines!
#SouthWestCoastPath from St Ives to Zennor except we started in Zennor and walked the inland route to St Ives ("it`s only 3 miles" except it turned out to be 4.8 miles and it was hot hot hot!) and then back along the coast path. It turned into an epic day. It was proper hard - lots of clambering over rocks rather than walking. We`ve done this walk twice before but it doesnt get any easier. Truly memorable. Amazing scenary.
#SouthWestCoastPath from Portreath to Hayle. It was a lot harder than we were expecting. Featuring another clamber down the cliffs to a hidden beach for a swim at Fishers Cover which was phenomenal.
Also walked past sections where wild fires had scorched the earth. Ironically it looks quite chilling.
#SouthWestCoastPath - St Agnes to Portreath - carrying on from where we left off last October having completed the 2 missing sections. Much less challenging so that made a nice change!
