Many Evans Cycles shops are to close as Sports Direct buys the struggling chain.
I know Evans is a chain, but its a half decent chain and while this is better than it closing, I’m not convinced that Sports Direct has its best interests at heart. Bit of a sad day really. Evans has been going a long time and it’s clear they really care about cycling.
In their day they have made some lovely bikes, with either their own badge on, or for the Pinnacle brand.
You can’t really say the same about Sports Direct.
