Dr Freeman, the former Team Sky Doctor is to face a medical tribunal over the ordering and delivery of banned testosterone patches to British Cycling headquarters while working for Team Sky.
It is difficult to believe that these were ordered by accident. Surely this needs to be seriously looked at again as there are still lots of unanswered questions.
There is no legitimate use of testosterone patches for professional athletes. They are used for small numbers of older men who are “flagging” but even then its still not universally agreed in medical circles to be appropriate or effective.
Why would a sports doctor order these by accident? Its just not credibile.
